The National Farm Survey (NFS) has been conducted by Teagasc on an annual basis since 1972. The survey is operated as part of the Farm Accountancy Data Network of the EU and fulfils Ireland’s statutory obligation to provide data on farm output, costs and income to the European Commission. A random, nationally representative sample, of between 1,000 and 1,200 farms depending on the year, is selected annually in conjunction with the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Any breach of any of the provisions of this Agreement will lead to immediate termination of the End User’s access to all services provided by the ISSDA either permanently or temporarily, and may result in legal action being taken against the End User. The End User acknowledges that the data depositor will be notified in the event of a breach coming to the notice of the End User within 72 hours. Permission to use the data for the specified purpose may be withdrawn by the ISSDA at any time, without notice and without cause assigned, by written notice to the End User, signed by or on behalf of the Director of the ISSDA.
