Provenance information All data is validated by national experts, according to different standards set for each species or groups of species. Data Capture Method: The principal method of data capture is through submission of records through the Centre's on-line records submission form. Data is also being incorporated from different sources and digitised and added to dataset. Data Capture Purpose: To collect data on the distribution of mammals in Ireland over the period 2010 to 2015 to provide a benchmark on the spatial distribution against which future change can be tracked.
