Temporal Coverage: Principally concerned with generating new data from 2010 to 2015, but any old records will also be included to expand the database.

Provenance information All data is validated by national experts, according to different standards set for each species or groups of species. Data Capture Method: The principal method of data capture is through submission of records through the Centre's on-line records submission form. Data is also being incorporated from different sources and digitised and added to Dataset. Data Capture Purpose: To collect data on the distribution of mammals in Ireland over the period 2010 to 2015 to provide a benchmark on the spatial distribution against which future change can be tracked.
