We are delighted to welcome the publication of the Open Data Strategy 2017 – 2022, which builds on the substantial achievements made in implementing the Open Data Initiative and sets out a roadmap for continued progress and development.

Greater use and re-use of open data has many potential benefits including assisting public administrations to work more efficiently and with greater transparency. There are follow on benefits to citizens, business and the economy in terms of access to information, encouragement of innovation and economic activity.
