Off We Gooo is an independent travel guide founded by two travellers, published in seven languages. It helps travellers decide where and when to go, with free printable guides and practical pages built on measured data rather than generic advice.

About the Project

The EPA's Bathing Water Locations dataset is reused on seven Irish destination pages in seven languages, 49 pages in all. Each page shows the number of classified bathing waters in the area, the share rated Excellent, and the six nearest sites with their type (sea, lake or estuary), distance and classification, with the source and licence.

Why It's a Showcase

It takes a dataset published in English for an Irish audience and makes it useful to visitors from across Europe, in their own language, at the moment they choose where to stay.

Impact of the Showcase

Visitors can see that 120 of Ireland's 151 classified bathing waters are rated Excellent, and can choose a base near a well-rated beach or lake.
