Contexte Tech is an independent, open-source (AGPL-3.0) platform based in France. It helps teams make decisions about artificial intelligence with verified, sourced data: free decision tools, a weekly index of AI models with official prices, and open datasets built from official public statistics.

About the Project

The dataset contains 39 dialogues in chat format, built from the CSO table "Population at Each Census" (FY001), published on data.gov.ie under CC BY 4.0. It covers the 26 counties and the 2022 census. In each dialogue, the relevant CSO rows are given to the AI model in context: the model reads the figure and cites it, or declines when the row is not provided. The dataset is released under CC BY 4.0 and archived on Zenodo (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23126673).

Why It's a Showcase

It reuses Irish open data to address a well-known weakness of AI assistants: inventing figures. The dataset teaches a model to answer only from official statistics, to cite the CSO as its source, and to say so when the data is missing.

Impact of the Showcase

Developers, researchers and public bodies can use it to train or test AI assistants that answer questions about Irish statistics reliably. The same method can be applied to any CSO table. The dataset is free to download, with no sign-up required.
