Co. Wicklow Wetlands Survey

The project created a digital GIS wetlands map and database of known and potential freshwater and coastal wetland sites in Wicklow. A variety of third party datasets, published surveys and reports on wetlands, and a systematic aerial photographic survey were used to identify sites. These were mapped and entered into a database holding information on sites. A field survey of 17 selected sites was also undertaken.
