Join Maynooth University on 13th - 15th February to celebrate Love Data Week

7 February 2018

Love Data Week is a social media event coordinated by research data specialists, mostly working in academic and research libraries or data archives/centres who believe research data is the foundation of the scholarly record and crucial for advancing our knowledge of the world around us.

Similar to Open Access Week, the purpose of the Love Data Week (LDW) event is to raise awareness and build a community to engage on topics related to research data management, sharing, preservation, reuse, and library-based research data services. Practical tips, resources, and stories will be shared to help researchers at any stage in their career use good data practices.

Maynooth University Library is delighted to be marking this event for the first time with a series of talks by data specialists from on and off campus from 13th-15th February as well as exhibition stands on the 14th February showcasing the Irish Government's national Open Data Portal data.gov.ie and the Building City Dashboards project which includes a VR demo. So we are asking those interested to drop by this Valentine’s week and Love Data!

It is open to any members of the public to attend but register to secure your place at Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/mu-love-data-week-talks-tickets-4287037745- For further details see https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/library/news/love-data-week-2018-0 and also on Maynooth University Library’s twitter and Facebook pages.
