The contiguous zone, the marine boundary between 12NM and 24NM, is the jurisdiction to prevent and or punish infringement of customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws. This zone falls within the Exclusive Economic Zone. The data was created from the EPA Coastal Water Boundary (ie. Baseline) and forms part of the Geographical Extent of Treaties, Acts and Regulations covering the Continental Shelf.
