This project is the Alice Perry Mapathon 2024 which is designed to gather information on Peatlands and Forestry with a view to enhancing the Open Data ecosystem for relevant land use and climate data. His aim is to provide information for policy makers to improve biodiversity and reduce carbon. The target audience for the Mapathon is primarily third level students and young professionals.

This project works with open data to form exhibitable unique visual representations. The main goal is to present an open dataset untraditionally and exhibit the visual pieces in an online exhibitionn. This data project uses several socio-economic variables from the latest population census data and spatial data for small area to develop an abstract representation of Dublin neighbourhoods. The visual outputs would stimulate the visual thinking of the community and the institutions that work with data.

Markus Helfert and Sana Kiran, Maynooth University 

This research project dives into the intricate landscape of data quality challenges within open data sources, with a specific focus on the smart mobility domain (Transport Catalogue in the open data portal). Through an exhaustive real data set analysis, its aim to shed light on the practical implications of these data quality challenges. Their plan is to develop an open data quality maturity model.

HackTheClimate, this Climate Hackathon will be held on Friday 23rd February 2024 in MERITS, Naas, Co. Kildare. It is a collaboration between Kildare County Council Teams (Climate, Innovation and Local Enterprise Office) and MERITS their Innovation ThinkSpace. The key challenge for the Hackathon is how climate data can be captured in a way that enables us to measure our performance on our ambitious climate/decarbonisation targets as set out in our Climate Action Plan 2024-2029,

This project will be an application that can be used by businesses as well as private individuals to evaluate location in terms of specific parameters such as demographics, property information, amenities, types of businesses and brands. The project will leverage a combination of open data and commercial datasets and could be particularly useful for SMEs

This project is the development of a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) web service called "wateralerts.ie" that will provide geo-focused alerts on water topics such as tide times river heights flood/rainfall warnings bathing water quality and other water-themed alert data.
