Provenance information | Surveys carried out by TCD contractors and NPWS staff. Quality control and training was an important part of the survey methodology. Data is of a high quality. Data Capture Method: Full details of the data capture methodology is available in NPWS IWM No. 23. Searches for otter signs were made at 525 pre-selected sites across the country. Data Capture Purpose: The survey was carried out to establish the current status of otters in Ireland, and to formulate recommendations for the species monitoring. Original Format: Data imported into Recorder 6 from MS Access files. |
