Marine Related Businesses per Electoral District

This dataset shows how many marine related businesses there are per OSI electoral district. The number of marine related businesses per electoral area was extracted from the Marine Institute's Marine Related Business Directory. These figures were then joined with the Ordnance Survey of Ireland Electoral District spatial dataset to produce a shapefile layer showing the distribution of marine related businesses per electoral district area across Ireland. This dataset was created in 2020 by the Marine Institute to assist in the National Marine Planning process.
