The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) published a baseline survey on consumer experiences of buying and selling a home . The research was carried out by Ipsos B&A and gathered information on consumers’ experiences of buying and/or selling a property in 2024. In total 523 respondents took part in the survey, 518 from face-to face fieldwork and 5 through an online link. Fieldwork took place between the 27th March and 7th May 2025 among individuals who had purchased and/or sold a property in 2024.
