2005 Irish Groundfish Survey is an annual 6 week fish trawl survey held in the 4th quarter of the year. It has an essential aim to examine the composition and abundance of fish species in the waters surrounding Ireland. This major survey is undertaken by the Fisheries Ecosystem Advisory Services (FEAS) division of the Marine Institute, and data is made available to the ICES DATRAS (DATabase TRawl Survey) database available from ICES. This cruise forms part of the 2005 Groundfish Survey.
