It comprises of circa 15,000 hectares of Atlantic blanket bog and mountainous terrain, covering a vast uninhabited and unspoilt wilderness dominated by the Nephin Beg mountain range. To the west of the mountains is the Owenduff bog. Provenance information This boundary map was produced using parcel data sourced from the Land Registry dataset from Property Registration Authority of Ireland and the OSI PRIME 2 dataset. The polygon geometry was generalised to 50M to produce this map using the Simplify Polygon toolset (using Wang-Muller algorithm method) in ArcGIS Pro 2.8 software.
