Premiums written, claims incurred and acquisition expenses data for insurance corporations resident in Ireland (ESA 2010 sector S128).

S128 consists of financial corporations that principally engage in financial intermediation as a consequence of the pooling of risks mainly in the form of direct insurance or reinsurance.

S128 does not include pension fund entities but may provide insurance to the pension fund sector or pension entitlements directly to the household sector (e.g. Pillar 3)

This dataset is produced under regulation ECB/2014/50. The accounting rules follow Directive 2009/138/EC (Solvency II valuation). Annexes I and II of ECB/2014/50 provide further information on the data.
