The field site consists of a perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) paddock (paddock 14 on the dairy platform in Johnstown Castle), where the EC tower was positioned in the North-East part of the field site to maximize the footprint contribution from the prevailing South-Westerly wind direction The field site is insensitively stripped grazing by Holstein Frisian animals.
