2014 Register of Public Sector Bodies (including General Government Bodies) in Ireland

Under Council Regulation (EC) No. 479/20091 as amended by Council Regulation 679/20102 , and Commission Regulation (EU) No 220/20143 the Central Statistics Office (CSO) is responsible for the official reporting of Ireland’s General Government Deficit/Balance (GGDeficit / GGB), Debt (GGDebt) and other Government Finance Statistics (GFS). In particular, this requires the CSO to define the scope of the Public Sector (which includes the General Government Sector) in Ireland. This document presents a list of bodies to be included in this register (reference year 2014) and information on the methodology and classifications employed in its compilation.
