Iris Oifigiúil is the official Irish State gazette and is published twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays). In addition to the bi-weekly publication of Iris Oifigiúil, a number of supplements are published at varying times during the year. This is published as a pdf despite originating in a really structured text format that is set for notice types. This should be published as a HTML, xml data dump or CSV file(s). It cannot continue to be a pdf-only publication.

    The Government Publications section of the Office of Public Works is responsible for the publication of Iris Oifigiul and the maintenance of the website irisoifigiul.ie.

    They have advised that they receive the text of notices that are published in Iris Oifigiuil from various sources including Government Departments, solicitors, members of the public and other agencies. Because the data published in Iris Oifigiul has not been created by them they are not in a position to give permission for it to be used or provide it in a format other than pdf.

    If there are any particulars tables, notices etc. currently published in Irish Oifigiul that you would particularly like to see available in open format on the portal, please let us know and we can follow up with the respective organisation. Open Data Team 18/10/2017
