All of the public research funders (and the non-public funders) have historical records of research grants they have supported. It may not be data.gov's role to create new sets, but they could be very influential drivers for the release of this data.

This new dataset might be of interest https://data.gov.ie/dataset/structured-project-funding-awards

Thanks for the comment below. I am above aware of the SFI funded project dataset. That itself is very useful but this request is for the broader proposal application set. Disaggregated by gender would be an additional requirement but, other then gender, no other personal data is required.

Details of projects funded by SFI are available here https://data.gov.ie/publisher/science-foundation-ireland

Hi, Thanks for getting in contact. The portal links to existing datasets held by public sector organisations. It is not clear if this is a request for an existing dataset to be made available in open format or a request for a new dataset to be created with all of these fields. It is not within the remit of the Open Data Unit to create new datasets but we are happy to contact the various organisations mentioned to see if they have this data and if so, if it can be linked to the portal in open format. It would be very useful to dis-aggregate by gender also. And the name of the PI would be useful for building consortia.
