SeaRover2019 ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Holland (Marine Institute, Ireland) underwater video files collected during SeaRover 2019 research cruise onboard RV Celtic Explorer between 1-21 August 2019. SeaRover stands for Sensitive Ecosystem Assessment and ROV Exploration of Reef. This survey was commissioned by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), funded by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF), and coordinated and led by INFOMAR (Integrated Mapping for the Sustainable Development of Ireland?s Marine Resources) and Ireland?s Marine Institute. 52 ROV transects were surveyed. The scientific objective was to map the distribution and abundance of geogenic and biogenic reef habitat at spatially discreet locations along the southern Porcupine Bank, Porcupine Seabight, Goban Spur, Southwest Approaches and other areas of interest. The scope of work also included collection of biological samples for genetic and population analysis and the collection of sediment cores for ground-truthing acoustic seabed mapping data and analysis of micro-plastics within deep-water sediment. During processing videos for each dive had been converted from Linear PCM, Apple ProRes 422, Timecode to AAC, H.264 CODEC, merged and exported at 720 resolution.
