Provenance information GPS co-ordinates were taken at each sampling site. These points were then digitised with the aid of aerial photographs to eliminate any accuracy errors. The detailed geochemical data is available through SAFER. Results should be read in conjunction with individual site reports. Care must be taken when reading results as extremely elevated levels can skew information on certain elements. For example, Lead levels > 1% gives misguided readings for Arsenic. The Geochemical results for this dataset can be obtained from the SAFER website http://erc.epa.ie/safer/ Or follow this link: http://erc.epa.ie/safer/dataAndResources/browsePubliclyAvailableResourcesByTheme.jsp and select ‘Land-use, soils and transport’ from the dropdown menu.
