Clare County Council Strong Urban Pressure

Category: Science

Openness rating:

Rural areas under strong urban pressure are areas of special control within the County as identified in the Clare County Development Plan 2017 - 2023. Such areas display the greatest pressure for development due to proximity to the immediate environs or close commuting catchment of large towns characterised by rapid rising populations. They also occur in areas of considerable pressure for development of housing due to proximity to urban centres, and proximity to major transport corridors with ready access to urban areas.
