Collect single beam acoustic data on boarfish spawning aggregations and herring feeding aggregations within a pre-determined survery area. 2. Determine an age stratified estimate of biomass and abundance of target species from survey data. 3. Collect biological samples from directed trawling on fish echotraces to determine age structure and maturity state of the stock. 4. Use vertical CTD casts to determine hydrographic conditions and extent of shelf frontal regions.
