National Public Transport Access Nodes (NaPTAN)

The National Public Transport Access Nodes dataset is an xml document describing Irish public transport stops; these stops include bus, rail, taxi and ferries. The xml document contains spatial information on the location of stops in Eastings and Northings (Irish Traverse Mercator) and Latitude/Longitude, as well as descriptive information such as the name of the stop, AtcoCode (unique identifier) and PlateCode (unique customer facing code for the stop).

The files are provided in xml, csv and shapefile format. The csv and shapefiles contain StopPoints (public transport stops) and StopAreas (stop areas for trains or transport hubs) extracted from the NaPTAN xml document.
