LA Coast 1990:

The LA Coast 1990 datasets gives a Corine Code 3 classification by polygon area for PARTIAL coverage of the coast of Irlenad. The Irish datasets are referecned by sheet number. Description: LaCoast is a research project undertaken in the mid 1990 under the lead of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and aimed at quantifying the changes of land cover types in a 10 km land strip from the coastline. LaCoast uses CORINE Land Cover Code 3 to classifiy polygon areas. Its reference dataset is generated by mapping land cover and changes using LANDSAT satellite images from the mid-1970's. Data source: LaCoast (JRC) Legend levels: Level 3 x Level 3 Temporal range: 1990. Geographic extent: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain (excluding Balearic Islands and the Basque Country)
