Registration now open for Open Data Hackathon in Cork IT

In conjunction with the Open Data Engagement Fund, Cork Institute of Technology is hosting an Open Data Hackathon on Saturday 18 May.

The Hackathon will bring together developers, product designers and enthusiasts who have an interest in combining Data Analytics (DA) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Open Data sourced from the national Open Data portal (data.gov.ie) to construct a new product or service.  It will include mentoring from experts in their respective fields (DA/AI) and submissions will be judged by an expert panel from industry. Prizes will be awarded to the teams behind the top three submissions who will be invited to host their solution online. It is envisaged that the completed submissions will have the potential to contribute positively to the day to day lives of Irish citizens.
