Provenance information The Corine Land Cover inventory is based on satellite images as the primary information source. SPOT-4 and IRS P6 imagery was used along with the previous CLC inventory (CLC00_IE) and the Landsat TM satellite imagery used for CLC00_IE. Ancillary Data: 1:50000 Ordnance Survey Ireland raster, Orthophotos 2004 (OSI) and Teagasc Land Cover data, Forest Inventory (FIPS) and LandParcel Identification vector (both from the Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries). The minimum mapping unit was fixed at 25 hectares. Linear features smaller than 100m wide are not considered and generalised. Three verifications missions took place over the course of production. The data was created using CLC 2006 Support Package which operates within the ESRI ArcView.
