Provenance information All data is validated using an automated system in the Data Centre which cross checks against published distributions at the hectad level. Red Data Book species, and new records at the 10km2 are manually checked by Data Centre staff and relevant local experts. Data Capture Method: Field observations. Supported by photographs and/or specimens in some cases. Data Capture Purpose: To understand the current distribution of vascular plants in Ireland, and to contribute towards the next publication of an Atlas of the British and Irish Flora post 2020 (BSBI). Original Format: Compiled into an Excel database.
