Provenance information This dataset manually captures data for licence applications submitted before the launch of the online application form. An IED License application is submitted to the EPA by the facility owner. The point coordinates are taken from the application and are used to append points on to the existing dataset. The coordinates can be for the centre of the facility boundary or the centre of the main site building. It is possible that these coordinates are not accurate as they have not been verified. On occasions where the coordinates provided are wrong, the site is located using the address and maps provided and the point is positioned in the centre of the facility boundary. Each point has an EPA Registration Code in the spatial dataset. All additional data shown in the application is synchronised from business databases. The data was mapped using OSI aerial photography for validation.
