4 October 2017

Open Data Impact Series

The Open Data Impact Series promotes awareness, adoption and use of Open Data in different sectors, and supports the publication of high-quality Open Data.

Session 1: Creating Business Opportunities with Open Data

The first session in the Series will focus on the availability of Open Data in Ireland and will demonstrate the huge potential that Open Data represents for the economy. Open Data is a valuable resource that can be used to build new applications, enhance existing products or provide additional context for decision-making. A wide range of businesses are already using Open Data to benefit their service offerings. What are the most useful datasets currently available? How is Open Data being used in practice by industry? What are the challenges that businesses face when using Open Data? These are some of the topics that we will discuss in this session.

The Creating Business Opportunities with Open Data session will take place on 26th September 2017, organised by Derilinx, in collaboration with the Open Data Unit of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and IDA Ireland.
