Ireland's first ever OpenDatathon is happening in May 2018

Waterford Institute of Technology are proud to host the first ever Irish OpenDatathon in May 2018. The aim of the event is to promote the use of open access datasets that have been made available via the national Open Data portal, Entry is open to all. Teams are encouraged but individual entries are also welcomed.

The purpose of the Irish OpenDatathon is to produce an innovative utility and/or a useful correlation of the datasets.  This open competition is aimed at anyone in education or in industry.  The deadline for applications is on the 4th of May.  Finalists will be asked to attend the event on the 25th of May, at WIT, when winners will be chosen.  For more information and for details on how to register, please visit –
